Energy Holding reports $370m in turnover

Energy Holding company one of Romania's biggest traders in the private energy sector concluded 2006 in a turnover worth $370, up 25 percent compared to 2005, deputy general manager of the company Corina Drumeanu said at an energy-related forum. Drumeanu added that the 2006 profit was of $15 m, up 19 percent compared to 2005. Energy Holding plans to build a coal thermal power plant and to invest in energy renewable sources. ...

Romanian electricity producers delivered in 2006 56,373 GWh, almost 5 percent more than in 2005, when 53,784 GWh were supplied, the Ministry of Economy and Trade reports.The largest market share was held by Hidroelectrica (31.7 percent), which delivered 17,871 GWh, down 1,867 GWh from 2005.The Rovinari and Turceni energy complexes came in next, with 6,412 GWh and 6,406 GWh, with a market share of 11.4 percent each.
