The Factory of Nuclear Fuel sent in 2006 to the Nuclear Power Plant in Cernavoda, eastern Romania, 9,748 nuclear fuel rods for Units 1 and 2, according to the website of Nuclearelectrica Co.On Sept. 15, 2005, the said factory produced rod 50,000. Economy Ministry Varujan Vosganian said that those preferential contracts which some companies concluded with local energy makers will downsize significantly.
