Fresh fruit, potatoes, sugar, honey and water, sewerage and waste disposal witnessed the highest price hikes in May compared to April, according to data released by the National Institute of Statistics. The Bucharest Court of Appeals on May 19 suspended the execution of a decision by the Competition Council, whereby mobile operators Orange Romania and Vodafone Romania, are to pay fines in the combined amount of EUR63 million. Romania's visible trade deficit increased from last year in April, data from the National Institute of Statistics showed Thursday.The merchandise trade deficit rose to EUR 897.3 million in April from EUR 885.1 million in the previous month.
