Tourism: Government approves 310 million lei fund for development of 31 balneary resorts
The government approved, by emergency order, the setting up of a 310 million lei fund for the development of 31 balneary resorts, finance minister Eugen Teodorovici said on Friday.
“The first measure is to set up a development fund for 31 balneary resorts of national interest for which we will provide 310 million lei in next year’s budget. The purpose is to rehabilitate, modernize infrastructure, access to these places of national interest. We also have in view modern equipment and expenses with medical staff. It is a system which finances everything concerning balneary resorts. The state also supports these projects with 50% of eligible expenses,” the minister explains.
This fund can finance the rehabilitation/modernization/development of transport infrastructure to facilitate access in these resorts, the expansion of constructions or rehabilitation of balneary treatment facilities, purchases for tourist development, equipment, furniture, medical equipment, training personnel.
