Telecom.IT: Highest prices for phone calls to fix and mobile points may drop
The highest prices for calls made to fix points will be 0.14 eurocents/minute, and will not exceed 0.96 eurocents/minute for mobile points according to the latest price levels established by the National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications(ANCOM) which will have to get the accord of the European Commission. ANCOM shows in a press release that it has completed the last national debates on the new prices for interconnection services.
So, the new prices will be ).14 eurocents/minute for calls to fix points (on the drop from 0.67 eurocents/minute) and 0.96 eurocents/minute for calls to mobile points (on the drop fro, 3.07 eurocents/minute). The new measures will be consulted at European level.
At the same time the telecommunication market established new prices for auxiliary services for interconnection offered by all suppliers of communication networks, for national call transit services, rented line services, terminal segments and backhaul services on Ethernet support supplied by Romtelecom.
The prices were determined based on models of price calculation and will come into force after the completion of European consulting.
The new prices will become compulsory for all network suppliers in Romania. In 2013 there were five suppliers of mobile phone services in Romania: Cosmote, Orange, RCS& RDS, Romtelecom and Vodafone.
