GFK Study: Brands Romanians trust most

Heidi chocolate is the brand most trusted by the Romanians. It is followed by Santal and Zewa, while Coca Cola, Pepsi and Kinder are associated with traditions, while Pilos dairy products and Promienna oil, labels belonging to Lidl, have the best quality/price relation, according to GfK data.

 

The study made by GfK National Brands & Private labels drivers analyses five pillars according to which Romanian consumers buy consumer products differentiating them from the rest of market players: brand fame, its capacity to make consumers feel good, confidence in quality, brand tradition and the quality/price relation.

 

“In the top concerning confidence in brand quality, Heidi ranks first as consumers have full confidence in this brand which satisfies high expectations. The next two brands have excellent quality and consumers have great confidence in them”, the GfK report shows.

 

“Private labels are more recent in the market and cannot be differentiated for tradition or label fame. However they are on top positions for characteristics referring to the good quality/price relations. Pilos and Promienna are two brands we find in top five,” the report shows.

 

The GfK Study was made online with the participation of 1,000 respondents and investigates 100 consumer goods. 7,500 brand evaluations were obtained. The brand selection was made for all price segments (premium, mainstream, economic, private labels with VAT and private labels in the economic segment).
