Real estate: Romania, the most attractive market of CEE for investments in office spaces
Romania is the most attractive market of the Central and Eastern Europe for investments in office spaces, and its capital city, Bucharest, has recorded in 2015 the largest area of square metres rented in the region, except for Warsaw, on Thursday said Mihai Paduroiu, real estate expert with the CBRE Romania, in a specialist conference.
"In 2015, there were 70,000 sqm rented in Bucharest, a record against the other capitals, except for Warsaw. I believe it's important that we send a message that Romania is the most attractive business destination market of Central and Eastern Europe. We further have below 50pct sqm of A-class per capita compared to any other capital city in Eastern Europe. The price of the rent in Bucharest is the lowest in Eastern Europe. We have a very mature and sustained dynamics of the demand and local business growth, of newcomers to the business market. In Romania, we build a lot, we are an open market, we have many sqm of quality offices and we are confronted with an increasingly sustainable, mature demand," said Mihai Paduroiu.
The 15th edition of the Realty conference, dedicated to the real estate industry, is organized on Thursday in Bucharest.
