Infrastructure : Romania’s Tarom seeks 160- to 190-seat aircraft

Romanian flag carrier Tarom has issued a call for two 160- to 190-seat aircraft, which it will initially wet lease, before taking dry-leased aircraft, http://atwonline.com/ reports.

The procurement section of Tarom’s website shows it is looking to wet lease two 160- to 190-seat aircraft for a three- to six-month term. In addition, it is looking for another pair on dry lease for four to six years.

According to the tender specifications, the aircraft should be younger than five years’ old, EU-registered, CFM-powered, with a 2,500nm range and a maximum take-off weight of below 79 tons.

Tarom adds that the interior should have a mobile class divider and be equipped with slim seats, covered in a leather or leather-type fabric. It also specifies a need for a galley, wardrobes and minimum of three toilets.

The closing date for both tenders is Aug. 31.
