Infrastructure: 1700 million euro to develop road infrastructure
The overall volume of European funds contracted until now for the development of road infrastructure in Romania amounts to 700 million euro, the average of such a county project being 6.6 million euro, according to the Institute for Public Policies (IPP).
In a press release, IPP points out that Bacau, Oradea, Botosani, Braila, Brasov, Targoviste, Craiova, Galati, Targu Jiu, Targu Mures, Piatra Neamt and Tulcea municipalities have accessed 120 million euro for the development of road infrastructure.
According to IPP, road infrastructure has been an absolute priority of local authorities during 2007-2013. Brasov was the only County Council which did not access funds from the Regional Operational Program for roads.
