Infrastructure: 12% more passengers at Sibiu Airport

Sibiu International Airport registered a 12% increase of the number of passengers in the first half of the year, compared to the same period of 2012 and 4% more than the percentage reported by Cluj Napoca Airport, according to data supplied by Sibiu Airport.

“The comparative analysis of data in the first semester of 2012 and 2013, shows that the overall number of passengers going through Sibiu Airport grew by 12% in 2013 against 2012,” said Nicoleta Boborodea, spokesperson for the airport.

Sibiu International Airport reports a 12% increase of the number of passengers while Cluj Napoca Airport declared an 8% traffic increase in the first half of the year compared to the same period of 2012.Despite the rising number of passengers there was a 2.4% drop of the number of aircraft movement in the first semester of 2013.

Airports in Romania recorded a 2% traffic drop said David Ciceo, general manager of Cluj Napoca Airport.
