Romania to make Turkey energy exports offers
Romania will make Turkey offers on energy exports, by end May, Minister Delegate for Energy Constantin Nita said during an official visit to Turkey, when he met with Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz, informs Romanian Economy Ministry release.
'Turkey's Minster of Energy and Natural Resources and me discussed the requirement of the regional cooperation in this field. Capitalizing the resources through creating bridges is Romania's main goal, and this is why we plan to strengthen our ties to Turkey. In the respect, during the talks we reiterated the importance of the development of the Nabucco pipeline Project to secure the natural gas supply in the region, and I am positive that Turkey will play a key role in the Project. Moreover, for Romania it is extremely important to develop a direct connection to Turkey, viewing the energy exports. My Turkish counterpart and I also talked about the energy exports from Romania, and we are to submit the possible offers by the end of the month,' Minister Constantin Nita stressed.
The agenda of the talks with Minister Taner Yildiz also scheduled topics related to the Nabucco Project and the undersea high-voltage cable between Romania and Turkey.
