Romania’s power output rose 6.9% on the year in January, while the country’s power resources fell 4.2% on the year in the first month of 2008, the National Statistical Institute, or INS, said Thursday.Power output grew to 2.2 million tons of oil equivalent in January, while the country’s power resources reached 3.56 million toe in the same period, the INS said.
