Deputies in the Industries Commission will not eliminate cyanides in mining exploitations

The Industries Commission in the Deputies’ Chamber rejected on Wednesday an amendment to ban cyanides from mining exploitations. The proposal, coming from senator Gheorghe Funar (PRM) and Peter Eckstein Kovacs (UDMR) was rejected on the basis that it would be a problem for companies having at present exploitation contracts using cyanides.
