The biggest production unit of bio-ethanol is to be constructed in Nadlac (near Arad, west) by the Belgo-American consortium New-Energy, the investment being estimated at some 60 million euros.The factory is to be designed by Hungarian EuroMediu Co. and construction works are set to be launched in spring, next year. The price of natural gas paid by domestic consumers in Romania is of 7.60 euros (without taxes) per GigaJoule (GJ) in 2007, according to Eurostat statistics.
