China Huadian Engineering to invest in new energy group at RAAN thermal power plant
China Huadian Engineering will invest in a new energy group with the capacity of 250-300 MW at the Romag-Termo Branch on the Halinga industrial platform, belonging to the Romanian Authority for Nuclear Activities (RAAN), Deputy Rodin Traicu told Agerpres on Tuesday.
According to the above-quoted source, the investment worth 300 million dollars will lead to the creation of nearly 500 new jobs and will significantly increase the installed power of the current devices producing electric energy at the RAAN thermal power plant.
'The Chinese experts also voiced the intention of upgrading the infrastructure for the lignite surface exploitation in Husnicioara,' Traicu also said.
Rodin Traicu added that the company also began procedures to build, with its own financial resources, a 400 MW energy group at the Hunedoara power company.
