Tourism: Romania participates with national stand in Arabian Travel Market on May 5-8
Romania participates with a national stand in the international tourism fair Arabian Travel Market, which is held in the United Arab Emirates, in Dubai, on May 5-8, 2014, reads a release sent by the National Authority for Tourism (ANT) on Monday.
Romania's presence with a national stand is brought about by the importance of the market of the Gulf countries especially, but also of other countries in the region for health tourism, luxury tourism, seaside tourism, but also from the point of view to the investment potential.
The Arabian Travel Market is the greatest tourism event in the Middle East, which is only open to professionals and the press. More than 3,000 companies from 68 countries attend this year's edition, which has luxury as its main subject.
The presence at the Dubai tourism fair of the eight Romanian joint exhibitors in the 60 sq m Romanian stand arranged by ANT is quite beneficent from the point of view of Romania being promoted as a tourist destination and implicitly an opportune occasion to increase the interest of tour operators, journalists, local opinion formers in Romania, say the ANT representatives.
'In the Middle East there are opportunity countries for which we intend to intensify the interest in Romania as a tourist destination this year, but also for the years to come, especially for health tourism,' says Razvan Filipescu, president of the National Authority for Tourism.
