Largest geothermal water park, at Noroieni, Satu Mare
Solarex Company based in Satu Mare (northern Romania), Astoria Hotel owner, on June 1 will inaugurate the tourism and health service complex, AquaStar, the largest geothermal water park nationwide, reads economica.net.
The construction works for AquaStar project of Noroieni, Satu Mare County, were initiated last summer and the 48 million lei investment came from non-refundable European funds worth 25 million lei and from a loan from Eximbank.
AquaStar will be open all through the year and will have a 2,000 person capacity per day in the summer season and 500 persons per day in the low season. The total area of the plot of land the complex was built on accounts for 12,500 square metres. The complex has five exterior pools, but also interior pools, from relaxation pools, hydro massage pools, to thermal water pools. Moreover, seven types of saunas and the sports passionate have at their disposal an area where they can play table tennis and do aerobics.
Colarex Company was established in 1993, with the main activity in the hotel and other accommodation facility area. According to the Finance Ministry website, last year the company with 32 employees reported an approximate 2 million lei turnover. The shareholders are Karoly Marton Nagy, Erzsebet Nagy and Noemi Baranyai, businesspeople who also own Soralex Tours and Astoria Hotel of Satu Mare.
