Infrastructure: Tg.Neamt –Tg.Mures highway could be made on the money taken on the fuel excise

The ministry of transport, Dan Sova considered that the highway Targu Neamt – Targu Mures could be made on the money taken on the fuel excise. Dan Sova stated, in a press conference in Iasi, that the part of the highway Targu Neamt- Targu Mures will be made on the money obtained from the fuel excise, in force since 1 April, appreciating that the works could be finished until the end of 2019, Mediafax says.

‘The part Targu Mures – Targu Neamt cost very much and it is very difficult as it is in the mountains. I proposed to the minister and we will analyse in the government that the financing be ensured from the excise introduced on 1 April. From the excise we get annually 500 million euro. It is possible to get this part of the highway on the excise’ Dan Sova said.

He stated that in July they will proceed to a positive amendment on the budget CNADNR to include the money collected from the excise on fuel between 1 April – 30 June.According to Sova, the other part of the highway Ungheni –Iasi –Targu Mures, Ungheni –Targu Neamt respectively will be made on money from the cohesion funds, the announcement of the bid for the feasibility study being published in at most ten days.

Sova said that the works for the part Ungheni –Iasi – Targu Neamt could start the autumn of next year, they being finalised in October 2017. ‘Any other man in the administration or political man who comes and says that something can be done quickly, lies’ Dan Sova said.

Asked how to explain the fact that his statements connected to the highway which should link Moldova and Ardeal come at the same time as the electoral campaign for the European Parliament, Dan Sova said;: I am sorry there are elections. Nothing overlaps, I don’t make promises, this is the calendar’.

The majority of the excise for fuel of 7 eurocents per litre, came into power on 1 April, with effect the increase by 0.41% lei/litre of the leaded fuel price and non-lead fuel, diesel and kerosene.
