Agriculture: Exotic fruit exports worth 1.9 million Euro

In Romania, exotic fruits are grown only in a handful of greenhouses, but according to statistics, exports reached a value of almost two million Euro last year alone. Despite the fact that, in Romania, bananas, oranges, mandarins and kiwis are considered exotic fruits, the value of the country's exports is almost on par with that achieved with the shipment of domestically-grown apples, pears or cherries.
