Company Solar Power Energy Ro plans to build and install solar panels in the Nenciulesti commune, Teleorman County (southern Romania), in an investment of about 15 million euros (67.862 million lei) VAT excluded, informs the e-licitatie. ro website.

'The scope of the contract is the ‘turnkey' construction of a solar park with an installed capacity of 4.43 MW, specifically: construction, delivery, installation and commissioning. Miscellanea and unexpected elements represent about 2.115% of the estimated contract value, VAT excluded, that is 1.435 million without VAT,' reads the ad.

The contract duration is 8 months from the date of award, and the deadline for the receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 31.07.2013 at noon; the envelopes are due for opening two hours later.

Company Ro Solar Power Energy announced on May 22, 2013 having launched the project 'Getting electricity from renewable energy sources - the Mavrodin solar park', worth a total of over 66.4 million lei without VAT.

'The plant will be built on a surface of 12.6 hectares of land that is owned by the company. We estimate an operation life of 25 years and at the end of this period, the plant may have 80% efficiency,' said project manager Gabriel Neagu.

The photovoltaic park in Teleorman County will produce at least 6GWh/year. Another objective of this project is to feed the electricity into the 20kV overhead line passing near the site.

Company representatives hope the investment will be recovered in a maximum of 15 years. The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund 'Investments for your future'.
