Romania looks for Danish investors in the energy domain
The Danish experience in the domain of solutions adopted for central heating may constitute a topic of collaboration between the specialists in the two countries, stated the minister of energy Victor Grigorescu in a meeting with the ambassador of Denmark to Romania Karst Vagn Nielsen. The discussions between the two officials aimed at the action directions in the domain of energy, such as energy security and efficiency.
‘The Denmark Kingdom is an important economic partner of Romania and the fact that both states belong to the EU asks for close cooperation, including in the domain of energy. The Danish experience in the domain of solutions adopted for central heating (thermal power) may constitute a topic for collaboration between the specialists of the two countries’ said Grigorescu.
The Romanian official expressed the openness of the minister to collaborate with the embassy of the Danish Kingdom and the Danish companies present on the market, including for drawing new investors in this country in the domain of energy.
In the first ten months of 2015, the volume of commercial exchanges between Romania and Denmark was of 403.2 million euro, the Romanian export recording 182.4 million euro and the import 220.8 million euro.
On 30 November 2015, according to the data of the National Office for Commerce in Romania there were 858 companies with Danish capital (0.43% of the total of foreign companies in Romania) with an invested capital of 222.7 million euro, representing 0.57% of the foreign capital subscribed in our country, which places Denmark 23rd in the top of foreign investors in Romania.
