Electricity consumption rises 2.5% in first two months of 2011

The end consumption of electricity stood in the first two months of this year at over 9.019 billion kWh, by 2.5% higher versus that in the same period of 2010, according to provisional data made public by the National Statistics Institute (INS). Public lighting decreased by 13.9% and population's consumption increased by 1.2%. Electricity export rose by 615.2 million kWh, by 282.3% respectively.
