ANRE : Romania has a capacity of energy import of 2,575 MW  

The capacity of energy import of the country at present is 2,575 MW out of which 1,100 MW on the border with Bulgaria, 850 MW on the border with Hungary, 500 MW that with Serbia and 125 MW on the relation with Ukraine, according a press release of the National Authority of Regulation in Energy (ANRE).

 ‘ Taking into consideration the present situation regarding energy at European and national level, is very important for the electro-energetic system in Romania and, implicitly for consumers, to exist capacities for increasing inter-connexion destined to trans-border transactions, to insure the domestic necessity of electricity’ the ANRE representatives say.

In this context, ANRE approved the annual report for monitoring regarding the minimum capacity available for the trans-border commerce for 2021, drawn up by Transelectrica.

Following the analysis of the report, ANRE said that the average values of the minimum capacities available for trans-border commerce are higher than the values included in the Action Plan for 2021, thus the targets for this year being met, and approved the Annual Report for the monitoring regarding the minimum available capacity for trans-border commerce for 2021.

At present, the import capacity on the border with Hungary is 850 MW, on the border with Bulgaria 1,100 MW, on the border with Serbia 500 MW and the Ukraine 125 MW.
