An investment of 100 million euro in a photovoltaic park, almost finalisation in Arad
An investment of 100 million euro in a photovoltaic park is almost to be finalised in Sebis (Arad) where there are installed 317,000 panels with total power of 65 MW which could cover the necessary for 100,000 inhabitants, at the project working 700 people. The representatives of the investors and the mayor of Sebis stated on Wednesday to the Mediafax correspondent, that this photovoltaic park will be the biggest in Romania and one of the biggest in Europe.The investment belongs to the Spanish company “ Promocion Inversolar 65” which was allocated to the budget of 100 million euro for three energy projects developed in Sebis, for a total surface of almost 200 ha.
According to the economic director of the Spanish company, Jose Maria Abuli, the first two projects included a total surface of 44 ha, being installed already 72,000 photovoltaic panels, with total power of 15 MW.These projects will be finalised in March-April, when the works of other 150 ha, where 245,000 panels will be installed, with nominal power of over 50 MW.
“The energy produced in this park would insure the necessary for 100,000 inhabitants. We have already signed the contracts for connection to the national grid of electricity, the production being sold on the free market” the manager of the project, Dragos Baghiu added.He considers that this summer the park will deliver energy at maximum capacity to be created approximately 100 work places.
