Wine tourism promoted by the 8th edition of the "Franco-Romanian Meetings on Tourism" hosted by Buzau

Dozens of people on Friday participated in the 8th edition of the "Franco-Romanian Meetings on Tourism" hosted by the Culture and Arts Centre of Buzau that discussed wine tourism and landscaping.

The French-Romanian meeting was attended by representatives of tourism and agriculture companies, cultural and educational organisations that manage or offer training courses in these areas.

Attache with the French Institute in Romania Michel Monsauret told Agerpres that "it is a very important event because Romanians and French seek the best ways to promote tourism, and both will share their experience with wine tourism."

Monsauret argued that wine tourism can only be promoted when all players work together from politics, economics and education.

In his turn, Buzau County Council Chairman Petre Emanoil Neagu, said that "a programme for this kind of tourism is salutary to the county and to Romania as well."

"We need to identify together all forms of collaboration, and also to create those tourism and wine industry professionals who are able to sell this form of tourism, which is in increasingly higher demand internationally," Neagu said.

The event took place with support from Romania's Ministry of National Education, the National Centre for the Development of Technical and Vocational Education (CNDIPT), the Romanian Hotel Industry Federation (FIHR), the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Romania (CCIFR), the Buzau School Inspectorate and the Francophone Cultural Centre in Buzau.
