Trade: Study: Romanians order online clothes, cosmetics and electronics
Romanians order more often clothes, cosmetics and electronics from their smartphones and 82% of Romanians choose the online shop according to comments written on profiles pf brands, friends and influencers. These are the conclusions of the European Barometer e-shoppers 2019 made by GfK for DPD Group.
Data also show that 83% of Romanians who buy online post feedbacks on Facebook, Instagram or YouTube about what they purchased.
On the average, a Romanian buys about 35 products per year, most often fashion products (37%), cosmetics (35%) and electronics (33%) from a smartphone.
The study also shows that 77% of Romanians prefer to pay cash on delivery, while 33% of them pay by card.
According to the study, Romanians are European champions when we are speaking about the influence of social media on the decision to buy online. The highest share is that of Facebook (93%, European average 85%), followed by YouTube (78%, European average 72%), Instagram (41%, European average 51%), LinkedIn (20%, European average 17%) and Pinterest (19%, European average 20%).
Four out of five Romanians (78%) use smartphones to buy online (European average 64%), 90% prefer home deliveries (against 86% European average), 27% by post (17% European average), 22% office delivery (13% European average) while 12% prefer to use automatic deliveries (4% European average).
