Products purchased online are by up to 40pct cheaper compared to the products purchased from traditional stores, shows the study 'Price Index,' drawn up in Romania in October .
Much better prices in the online environment were recorded also for books, phones and tablets, with significant differences, of up to 27pct, during promotional campaigns compared to traditional retail. The average discount of 18pct applied to microwaves has imposed this category among the most advantageous ones for buyers.
For refrigerators and freezers, the online environment offers a wide range of models and prices by 4-5pct lower on average than in specialized offline stores, shows the study conducted by Millward Brown Romania, which, combined with the delivery facilities, represents a significant saving of time and money.
The study, drawn up in early October, took into account 15 categories and 150 products. Analyzed for each category were 10 products chosen randomly from 27 online stores and offline ones, with the stores having been selected by their relevance in the category.
