Tourism : The government adopted the Memorandum to offer state aid to the companies in HoReCa
The government approved, during the meeting on Thursday, the memorandum to offer state aid to the companies in HoReCa, the industry of hospitality and tourism agencies. The companies affected will receive 20% of the loss suffered in 2020, against the turnover of 2019. To get the aid, the approval of the European Commission will be required.
‘To compensate the loss suffered by some economic agents, in the context of Covid 19, was adopted the Memorandum for the establishment of a frame for state aid to compensate the loss suffered by the companies in the domain of HoReCa, the industy of hospitality and tourism agencies, 20% of the turnover for the income registered in 2020, against 2019’ stated on Thursday night Ionel Danca, the head of the premier Chancellerie.According to him, for these companies, the government will establish a state aid scheme to compensate the loss in a proportion of 20%.
The industry of hospitality loses over one billion euro and the industry of hospitality of over three billion euro in general in 2020 against 2019 stated on Monday Calin Ile, the chairman of the Federation of the Industry of Hospitality in Romania (FIHR ) which says that there are going to follow six months tragic for the industry. The minister of economy Virgil Popescu explained, one day before, that the state aid scheme must be approved by the European Commission on the basis of the Memorandum so that its help may be required.The request and the documents will be processed electronically.
