At the opposite pole we find the Hungarians, who prefer destinations in Asia and USA - Bangkok, Miami, Tokyo, New York or Istanbul.
The makers of the study notice a resemblance between Romania and Turkey for the share of young and elderly tourists who used complete tourist packages this year. The share is 70% young people and 30% elderly people in Romania, 80% young people and 20% elderly people in Turkey.
Romanian tourists have the same opening towards mobility as those Turkish tourists, according to Paravion.ro. Online booking has grown by 300% in 2015 in Romania, reaching 25% of overall mobile transactions made by Paravion clients by means of smart phones. About 40% of plane reservations made by Turkish people came from mobile applications.
Romanians resemble Turkish people concerning the types of holidays requested most often as there is a preference for city-breaks. For these holidays, Romanians spend 250-350 euros/persons on the average, while the Turks 500-1,000 euros/person, while in the case of longer trips of 7 days, Romanian tourists allocate an average budget of 600-800 euros/person, compared to 650-1,000 euros/person spent by the Turks.
