Health: Government approved funds for reducing TB in Romania
The government approved the payment of three million lei for VAT representing goods and services purchased for the reduction of tuberculosis in Romania, implemented in collaboration with Romanian Angel Appeal Foundation, a government press release shows. “The money is needed to carry out the program until March 31, 2018 and will be paid annually: 987,000 lei for 2015, 1,633 million lei for 2016, 414,000 lei for 2017 and 15,000 lei for 2018.” the government announces.
The source points out that in 2010 the global incidence of TB in Romania was about 90-100,000 inhabitants, one of the highest in the European region of World Health Organization (WHO).
