The list of the most popular destinations for spring and summer include Spain, Italy, the Arab Emirates, Turkey and Greece, after the exotic destinations at the beginning of the year such as Zanzibar, Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Cuba, show the data of the tour operator eSky.ro.
‘The most popular destination this year is Spain, especially Madrid, Barcelona and Malaga – the interest for these destinations has increased constantly during March and April.Italy is second in the top of destinations chosen by the Romanians for this season. Rome, Parma and Catania are at the top of the list of Italian cities which will be visited by the Romanians this year. To mention that the countries in the south of Europe intend to eliminate travel restrictions at the end of the spring-summer season to encourage tourism. Besides the destinations close to home, the Romanians want to visit this year the United Arab Emirates, Dubai being the most popular destination. The following are Turkey, Greece and Cyprus, which will be visited by Romanians in May-August. The most popular cities in Greece are Athens, Preveza and Skiatos’ the tour operator says.
In Turkey, the top is lead by Antalya, and as regards Egypt – Hurghada and Cairo are among the most popular destinations, Larnaca in Cyprus grows in popularity.
‘The exotic countries chosen by the Romanians at the beginning of the year lose from their popularity. Now we see a growth of interest for travel to the countries in Europe. Starting with the middle of February, the number of bookings for our services has constantly increased.
