Romania stays in top ten wine consumer worldwide ranking, with 22-24 litres per capita
Romania stays in top ten wine consumer worldwide ranking, in terms of taxed consumption, amounting to 22-24 litres per capita, Romania's representative to the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) Catalin Paduraru said in the opening of Goodwine International Wine Fair, at Romexpo, Bucharest.
'The market level stands at about 500 million euros, with an ascending trend, although the premium and super premium wine market is currently slightly inhibited. At present, we can say there is an ascending trend in the dry wine consumption and production,' Catalin Paduraru said.
The reference producers in the Romanian wine industry, but also those who have recently entered the wine industry, are present in the period March 29-31, in the ninth edition of Goodwine International Wine Fair.
The over 100 exhibitors and sub-exhibitors, Romanian producers, importers, distributors and companies in related-areas, have brought to display over 1,000 wines, out of which a few hundreds are presented to visitors as a first.
Wine lovers can taste wines from Romania, but also from France, Italy, Chile, South Africa, Argentina, Lebanon, Spain, New Zealand, Bulgaria and the Republic of Moldova.
