Real Estate: The average asking rent for a studio apartment in Bucharest, up 4.58 percent în 2017
The average asking rent for a studio apartment in Bucharest reached around 228 euro per month in 2017, up 4.58 percent from 218 euro in 2016 and 1.83 percent higher compared to 2012, when it stood at 222 euro; the current residential rent costs are at a five-year peak, reveals a survey by Imobiliare.ro.
Also in Bucharest, the asking rent for a two-room apartment is a monthly 321 euro, compared to 298 euro last year and 303 euro in 2012. For a three-room apartment the asking rent is now 404 euro per month, higher than the 378 euro per month charged in 2016 but still less than the 421 euro per month in 2012.
In Brasov, the cost of a one-room housing unit dropped slightly from the previous year from 187 to 183 euro per month, but is still above the figure recorded in 2012, which was 172 euro per month. For two rooms the monthly rent climbed to 277 euro from 243 euro in 2016 and 241 euro in 2012, while for a three-room home the average monthly asking rent is 320 euro, up from 299 euro last year and 309 euro per month in 2012.
In Cluj-Napoca the asking rent for a studio apartment hit 220 euro per month in 2017, compared to 204 euro in 2016 and 203 euro in 2012. The asking rent for a two-room apartment is 360 euro per month, up from 311 euro in 2016 and from the 298 euro a month registered five years ago. The rent for three-room apartments reached 445 euro per month this year, up from 409 euro in 2016 and around 390 euro per month in 2012.
In Iasi, a studio apartment can be rented now for an average of 191 euro per month, compared to 185 euro per month last year and 186 euro in 2012, respectively. As for two-room apartments, the landlords ask currently 269 euro per month compared to 253 euro per month in both 2016 and 2012. Those who seek to rent a three-room apartment now must shell out 319 euro per month, just like in 2012, but more than the 273 euro per month asked last year.
In Timisoara, the average budget for renting a studio reached 171 euro per month in 2017, up from 165 euro per month in 2016 and from 150 euro in 2012, respectively. The tenants interested in a two-room apartment must pay on average 278 euro per month, compared to 261 euro in 2016 and 197 euro in 2012. Landlords of three-room apartments ask for 327 euro a month, as to 311 euro last year and 241 euro five years ago.
