Real estate: Real estate prices have grown in Bucharest

With a general advance of 2.6% compared to July, Bucharest ranks second, after Iasi, in the top of price rises, the demands of Bucharest sellers recording an average of 1,352 euros/ square meter (on the rise from 1,318 euros) according to Imobiliare.ro.

Apartments in old buildings appreciated with the same percentage and can be bought with 1,282 euros/sq.m, compared to 1,250 euros/sq.m. New buildings recorded an increase of 2.3%, from 1,375 to 1,406 euros/sq.m.

The highest increase of the average price requested per square meter in an apartment was recorded in Iasi- 3.6% , from 1,037 to 1,074 euros/ sq.m. Old apartments appreciated less- by 2%, from 1,018 to 1,038 euros/sq.m. New buildings were more expensive by 5%, with an average value of 1,107 euros/sq.m (against 1,054 euros).

In Brasov, Imobiliare.ro recorded an advance of 1.6% in August, from 1,128 to 1,146 euros/sq.m. Compared to Bucharest, old apartments appreciated less than the new ones by 1.3%, from an average of 1,117 euros/sq.m to 1,131 euros/sq.m. On the other hand, prices of new residential ensembles went up by 2.6%, from 1,147 to 1,177 euros/sq.m.

Apartment prices went up in Cluj, by 1.6% in August compared to the previous month, reaching an average of 1,631 euros/sq.m, from 1,606 euros/sq.m. The increase margin of old building apartments was 1.1%, from 1,610 to 1,627 euros/sq.m. New buildings appreciated by 2.1%, from 1,602 to 1,636 euros/sq.m.

Apartment owners requested prices higher by 1.5% , in Timisoara, in August, from 1,226 to 1,244 euros/sq.m. The price increase of new buildings reached an average of 1,236 euros/sq.m (compared to 1,212 euros/sq.m).
