Real estate : Number of finished houses dropped to 26,650 units in first 9 months
The number of finished houses dropped by 2,430 units in the first 9 months compared to the same period of 2011, the evolution being influenced by the dropping number of houses and apartments financed with private funds, according to data published by national Institute of Statistics on Monday.
“The analysis of buildings points to the increase of the share of houses completed in the rural area by 56.7%. Compared to the same period of 2011, the number of houses made with private funds dropped by 2358 units, while those made from public funds dropped by 72 units,” the INS release shows.
The number of finished houses dropped in the developed north-eastern areas (by 966 houses), center (827 houses), south-eastern (412 houses), north-western (290 houses), Bucharest-Ilfov (226 houses), south- Muntenia (71 houses) and west (50 houses). The south-western Oltenia area recorded a growth by 412 houses).
In the third quarter, 10,588 houses were completed, on the drop by 690 houses compared to 2011.
