Infrastruture: Bucharest-Brasov motorway, among priority investment projects in budget law

The Government will approve the list of priority investments, together with the budget law, and the completion of Bucharest-Brasov motorway or Drumul Taberei-University metro sector could be among these, Minister Delegate for Budget Liviu Voinea said on Tuesday, October 29.

'At the same time we approve the budget law, we shall also approve the priority investment list... We refer to the infrastructure priority projects, mainly the projects worth over 100 million lei. There will be an annex to the budget law with these projects which you will be able to watch closely. The public opinion will be able to watch them and know that is where most of the money goes and that these projects have a completion priority,' Liviu Voinea told Romania TV private television channel.

The Minister pointed out that 'the completion of Bucharest-Brasov is relevant' and that 'we can also consider Drumul Taberei-University metro sector. These are priority projects.'

Liviu Voinea did not give any details concerning possible modifications in the taxation area and pointed out that 'on the discussion table with our international partners there are many simulations, many trials, many assessments, a series of measures, on the one hand, in the area of increasing the tax base, not the tax level, and, on the other hand, there are measures in the area of fiscal relaxation.'
