Infrastructure: Works of 110 million euros to modernize road between Maramures and Suceava
CNADNR wants to modernize a section of 90 km of DN18 between Moisei (Maramures) and Iacobeni (Suceava). The contract of 113 million euros (VAT included) has in view to repair the works made by former builders and complete the ones left.
The contract has three lots: Moisei-Borsa (24.6 km), Borsa-Sesuri (24.6 km), Sesuri-Carlibaba (18.5 km) and Carlibaba- Iacobeni (20.6 km) with an estimated value of 355.5 million lei without VAT. CNADNR can later on begin works of 52.5 million lei and the project value can reach 408.1 million lei, without VAT.The contract has a deadline of four years since the initial date and is financed by EIB and the government.
There will be an open tender for the lowest price and builders can send their offers until February 17.
DN 18 entered a modernization program financed by EIB in 2011 and works for 89 km were granted to Shapir Structures company from Israel. The completion date was August 31, 2013.
However the contract of 81 million euros with Shapir was cancelled in May 2014 because works had not been completed. At that time the former transport minister Dan Sova announced that CNADNR would continue the modernization of the road until a new company would be established to work on the project.
