Infrastructure: Henri Coanda Airport becomes the first in Romania receiving the Airport Carbon Accreditation
The Bucharest Airports National Company (CNAB) has obtained the Airport Carbon Accreditation for the Henri Coanda International Airport (AIHCB), which became the very first Romanian airport accredited on the programme, following a specialized audit mission carried out by international experts in the field, according to a release of the company.
Thus, the AIHCB, certified at the Mapping level, became the first airport in Romania receiving this accreditation and one among the 90 airports certified across Europe, following their efforts to manage and reduce their carbon emissions.
The Airport Carbon Accreditation is one of the most important programmes of ACI Europe, managed by an independent structure, whose members are representatives of the European Commission, the UN Programme for Environment, the International Civil Aviation Organization, the European Civil Aviation Conference, the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation.
