Government approved new regulation to reduce the time for obtaining authorizations for motorway construction
The Government on Wednesday passed an emergency ordinance that provides for some measures that reduce the time for obtaining authorizations and approvals for motorway construction, so that the actual duration may decrease by up to two years, Transport Minister Dan Costescu told a press conference at Victoria Palace.
"Our projects are very long, of four to five years, sometimes even longer. Much of this time was consumed with getting approvals and building permits. (...) We have made a list of problems. We found solutions and most of these refer to shortening these periods. (...) Now the land plot is entered directly in the land registry immediately after receiving the title deed, without waiting for six months as before," said Costescu.
The new regulation also provides for the possibility of granting building authorizations for sections, not only for the entire segment under work.
"Thus, if there are some areas with problems in which the permits cannot be obtained very fast, we avoid them? we open work fronts where we can build and thus we win time," explained Costescu.
Asked how long it would take for the authorizations to be got by applying the provisions of the ordinance, the minister replied that this would be possible even within a week.
