Agriculture: Agriculture Ministry acquires consultancy service for OPF 2014-2020 in excess of RON 8.3 million

Romania's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has purchased technical assistance services for the development and consolidation of the institutional capacity of the Directorate General Fisheries - The Management Authority for Operational Programme Fisheries (OPF) to prepare, draw up and implement OPF 2014-2020, from Conceta Silva SRL, for RON 8,302,815, VAT excluded, according to an award announcement posted on the Electronic Public Procurement System (SEAP).

'The overall objective of the project is developing and consolidating the administrative and institutional capacity of the Directorate General Fisheries - The Management Authority for Operational Programme Fisheries by extending to it external expertise services to be provided the a team of specialist consultants of the service provider. The experts' main objective will be to draw up and prepare the implementation of OPF 2014-2020 as well as of the related strategic documents, so that the development and the consolidation of Romania's fisheries may be possible in accordance with the objectives of the EU's Common Fisheries Policy. Specific objectives of the project include: conducting a market research for the fisheries; drawing up a multiannual national strategic plan for aquaculture; drawing up the operational programme fisheries 2014-202; technical assistance for preparing the implementation of the operational programme fisheries 2014-2020; information consulting for potential beneficiaries and the dissemination of OPF 2012-2020,' reads a brief description of the contract.

The initial estimated contract value was RON 8,800,000 (VAT excluded). The contact was awarded on August 4, 2014.
