Wind park to be built in eastern Romania
A wind power plant with 41 wind turbines and a total installed power of 143.5 MW will be built at the unincorporated area of the commune of Tulucesti, Galati county (eastern Romania) on an area covering some tens of hectares.
The project developed by an Ilfov-based company was granted the environmental approval after 20 months since having submitted the request at the Galati Environmental Protection Regional Agency (ARPM).
According to the data included in the environment approval on the ARPM website, 41 wind turbines with a nominal power of 3.5 MW each will be constructed in Tulucesti. The entire quantity of energy will be delivered to the grid through a 110 kV transformation station.
The Tulucesti wind plant will be one of the biggest wind power plants in Galati, with a total area exceeding 70 hectares, including access roads. The total built area will cover 28 hectares and will include the foundations of the 41 wind turbines, the access and exploitation roads, the parking lots and the transformation stations. The towers of the wind turbines will be made of steal and will be 100 meters in height.
