Transgaz: the works on the gas pipeline Ungheni-Kishinev will be ready during the first quarter of this year
Transgaz assures that the works on the gas pipeline Ungheni-Kishinev are on schedule and will be ready during the first half of this year, as an answer to a series of articles appeared in the press in the Republic of Moldova, according to which the pipeline will be finalized next year, the press release says.
‘Referring to the articles ‘ The Iasi-Ungheni-Kishinev pipeline will be ready in 2021 to deliver natural gas from Romania to the Republic of Moldova’ (agora.md), ‘ the Gas pipeline Iasi-Ungheni-Kishinev could be in use only in 2021’ (jurnaltv.md) ‘ Transgaz of Romania postpones for 2021 the finalization of the gas connection with the Republic of Moldova (mold-street.com) ‘ The gas pipeline Iasi-Ungheni will not be in use not even in 2020’ (deschide.md) for the correct information of everybody who is interested, SNTGN Transgaz SA considers as necessary and relevant the following clarifications: works for the gas pipeline Ungheni-Kishinev are on schedule on all working lots, the finalization deadline being I semester 2020’ the press release says.
Until the finalization of the project ‘ Developments of SNT in the area North-East of Romania with the purpose of improving the supply with natural gas of the area as well as the capacity of transport towards/from the Republic of Moldova’ ( the finalization deadline 2021) the transport capacity through the National System of transport natural gas existing in Romania and the gas pipeline Iasi-Ungheni-Kishinev, from our country to the Republic of Moldova will be 1.5 millioin cubic metre/day, the Transgaz representatives say.
‘After the finalization of the project ‘ Development of SNT in the area North-East of Romania with the purpose of improving the supply with natural gas of the area as well as the capacity of transport towards/from the Republic of Moldova, the transport capacity from Romania towards the Republic of Moldova, will be 1.5 up to 2.2 billion cubic metre/year as it was agreed with the governmental authorities of the Republic of Moldova, 4 up to 6 million cubic metre/day respectively, the press release says.
