Transelectrica has made an open list with 20 strategic projects
The national electricity transporter Transelectrica has announced that they made up an open list of strategic projects, which will allow the flexibility of the Electrical Grid for Transport and the company proposes 20 projects at minimum, some of them being underway already, for which the acceleration of the implementation rhythm is necessary.
‘The present level of development of the Electrical Grid for Transport (RET) needs an acceleration of the stages of development of the energy infrastructure projects, with the purpose of ensuring the gradual change to an economy neuter from the point of view of carbone missions. To obtain the reconfiguration of the energy system and of the transport grid of electricity in agreement with the new directions established by the European legislative packages ‘Green Deal’and ‘ Fit for 55’, the targets of investments plans implemented by Transelectrica need to surpass those already planned. The energy transition imposes a quick adaptation of the electricity transport grid and the intensification of the extension rhythm included in the Plan for Development of RET 2020 – 2029’ informs the company.
In this context, the Romanian government approved recently, at the proposal of the General Secretariat of the government, the public authority for Transelectrica, a Memorandum covering an Action Plan of the company which included the development of investment projects essential for the consolidation of the electricity transport grid.
