The production of electricity and thermal energy will cost 2.3 billion lei this winter
The necessary costs for the acquisition of fuel for the thermal and electrical energy in the cold weather will reach 2.322 billion lei according to the project regarding the winter programme in the domain of energy for the stable and safe functioning of the National Electroenergy System between 1October 2016 – 31 March 2017 made by the ministry of energy.
Out of the total at national level, 1.886 billion lei represent the costs for the electricity and thermal energy producers under the authority of the ministry of energy and 436 million lei for those administered by the local and county councils.
Moreover, there are total investments of 257 million lei for repairs, necessary for the winter of 2016 – 2017 out of which 195.4 million lei for the operators under the authority of the ministry of energy and 61.8 million lei for those under the local authorities.
As regards the electricity for the period of 15 November 2016 – 15 March 2017, the National Commission for prognosis included a growth of consumption by 5.9% and the National Energy Dispatcher estimated an increase with an average of 2.8% against the achievements of the similar period of last year.
In the case of thermal energy, the estimates received on the part of units which provide heat carrier to the population, the producers of electricity in co-generation cover an average consumption of thermal energy of 7.630 million Gcalories.
At the same time, as regards the balance export – import for the period November 2016 – March 2017 the National Energy Dispatcher estimated monthly values of the balance of export between 372 GWh and 595 GWh with a total for the period under discussion of almost 2,000 GWh.
