EC notified that the state aid offered to Transgaz for the pipeline Iasi-Ungheni observes the legislation

The European Commission analysed the state aid offered by Romania to the Transgaz company for the construction of the pipeline between Iasi and Ungheni and noticed that the legislation in the domain was observed stated the chairman of the Council of Competition Bogdan Chiritoiu.

In 2015, Transgaz received a state aid of 81 million lei for the pipeline Iasi-Ungheni project financed through the programme for transborderly cooperation Romania- the Republic of Moldova.

Another state aid monitored by the European Commission which, also, met the analysed criteria was the scheme offered by the ministry of public finances with the objective of investment stimulation with major impact in the economy, HG nor.804/2014 respectively.

The state aid scheme has validity until 31 December 2020 with a total budgetof 925 million euro (145 million euro annually).
