Statistics: Energy resources during 1.I.- 31.IX. 2014 - provisional data -

During 1.I.-31.IX.2014, the primary energy resources increased by 3.0%, while those of electric energy increased as compared to the same period of previous year, by 8.8 %, the National institute of statistics informs. The mainprimaryenergyresources during 1.I.-31.IX.2014 amounted to 23687.71 thousand tonnes oil equivalent 2 (toe), increasing by 694.2 thousand toe as against 1.I.-31.IX.2013.

Domestic production amounted to 16298.8 thousand toe, increasing by 0.6% as against the same period of previous year, while imports amounted to 7388.9 thousand toe, increasing by 8.8%. During this period, electric energy resources amounted to 46779.7 million KWh, increasing by 3788.0 million

KWh (+8.8%) as against the corresponding period of 2013. The increase of electric energy resources was mainly due to increased domestic production, of 3887.0 million KWh (+9.1%).

The thermal power stations production amounted to 19028.2 million KWh increasing by 538.6 million KWh (+2.9 %). The hydroelectric power stations production was 14345.8 million KWh increasing by 2611.1 million kWh (+22.3%), while the production of nuclear power stations was 8623.1 million KWh decreasing by 70.8 million kWh (-0.8%).

The production of wind power stations during 1.I.-31.IX.2014 was 3382.3 million KWh increasing by 66.8 million KWh and photovoltaic solar energy produced during this period was 1112.1 million KWh increasing by 741.3 million KWh, as against the same period of previous year.

The final consumption of electric energy in national economy during this period was 36908.1 million KWh, by 0.8% lower than the corresponding period of 2013; public lighting decreased by 25.2%, while population consumption decreased by 0.9%.

The exports of electric energy amounted to 5348.0 million KWh increasing by 4298.7 million KWh.
