Samsung has become the biggest investor in solar energy in Romania after a project of 100 million euro
The South-Korean company Samsung, a business of almost 247 billion dollars has become the strongest investor in solar energy in Romania after the finalisation of an investment of 100 million euro in the Slobozia commune, Giurgiu county.
According to the data published by Transelectrica, on 01.10.2013, the biggest photovoltaic project in Romania has a capacity of 45 MW, the manager being the LJG company Green

On average, for each MW in a solar park there is need of 2.3 – 2.5 ha, so that the park occupies a surface of almost 112.5 ha. A football pitch, for example has approximately one ha.
The data from the Trade Registrar show that 78% of the shares of this project company are controlled by the Solluce Romania 1BV company, recorded in the Netherlands. In its turn, the Solluce Romania 1BV company is owned -80% by Samsung Corp. Being one of the companies affiliated to the Samsung group, as the data published by the Korean group at the end of Q1 show.
