Romania's final consumption of electric energy in January-November 2015 advanced by 5.9 percent

Romania's final consumption of electric energy in January-November 2015 advanced by 5.9 percent year-on-year to 48075.8 million KWh, according to provisional data released on Thursday by the National Institute of Statistics. 

Over the same period, the primary energy resources grew by 2.4pct to 30 million tonnes of oil equivalent (toe), while the electricity resources gained 8.3pct to reach 63.1 TWh. 

The thermal power stations produced 25.3 TWh (plus 5.3pct); the hydroelectric power stations yielded 15.4 TWh (down 11.4 pct); and the nuclear power plant of Cernavoda 10.6 TWh (down 0.8 pct). The wind power stations generated 6.5 TWh (2.3 TWh more than in the corresponding 11 months of 2014), and the photovoltaic solar energy 1.9 TWh (0.6 TWh more). 

Public lighting increased by 35.7pct, while the population consumed 4.3pct more. 
January-November exports of electric energy amounted to 9.4 TWh, up by 2.3 TWh.
