The population's electricity consumption went up 8.3 percent in January 2009, against the same period of 2008, while the final electricity consumption was by 6.9 percent smaller than in January 2008, according to data supplied by the National Statistics Institute (INS). The final consumption of electricity on January 2009 stood at 4.388 billion KWh.
