Eni close to deal on pipeline, sources say

Italy's Eni SpA is close to reaching a deal with the European Union over international gas transit pipelines, which could involve selling all or some of its assets to avoid a possible antitrust fine, sources said. Romania's electric power consumption might increase by 1% in 2010, after an 8.3% fall last year, according to Octavian Lohan, deputy general manager of state-owned power grid operator Transelectrica (TEL.RO).
